My Community Fund now open |

Resident Good afternoon,
I just wanted to make you aware that the ‘My Community Fund’ is now open. This was previously known as the Helping Community/Active Citizen Fund and is available to grassroots organisations dedicated to making their neighbourhoods safer and stronger. You can find out more about the fund via the below link. Please make your local groups and community contacts aware and direct everyone to the link below.
The My Community Fund for 2026 is open for applications until 23:59 on Friday 13th March 2026.
The Police and Crime Commissioner makes money available to support communities in the West Midlands who want to make My Community a safer place to live and work.
We all create and protect our communities and the purpose of the My Community Fund is to encourage local people to bring forward ideas which reflect their local knowledge and understanding of how to improve community safety.
The money for the Fund – £330,000 in total – comes from cash that police have seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act, and it will be prioritised for locality-based projects, which aim to make a positive difference to deal with crime prevention and reduction and show a clear link to the Police and Crime Plan.
Up to £5,000 will be given to each group. Each bid is considered against the other work already funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Foster, through his Prevention and Intervention funds and Violence Reduction Partnership.
Successful projects are expected to clearly show that the initiative is funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner, as well as providing feedback and evidence that can be widely used to update the public on the work of the Fund.
To find out if your project is eligible and to submit your bid, click here: My Community Fund Application form 2026-27
Kind regards Delves police neighbourhood team | ||
